You can drive up, unload your gear, and leave your car at one of the car parks in Karłów — this is what we prefer!
The campsite is intended primarily for hikers travelling with backpacks. Parking a car on the campsite is intentionally very expensive, while staying overnight remains very affordable. Treat yourself to a morning with fresh mountain air and a view of Szczeliniec Wielki instead of the smell of petrol and exhaust fumes.

🌲 Just 300 metres from the Main Sudetes Trail, you will find:
2 × 6–8 spaces for hikers with their own sleeping bag and sleeping mat.
Equipped with a wood-burning stove from 16 October.
A covered place to boil water and prepare a simple meal, available from 1 September.
An enclosed common room where hikers can sit together when it rains, available from 20 September.

Navigation apps sometimes lead to a spot with no obvious path, forcing you to cross meadows. It is easier to approach from the paved road.
Why was Barbarówka created?
For campfires.
For long hikes with a backpack.
For the romance of sleeping under canvas.
Leave the Main Sudetes Trail for just 300 metres and you will reach a place with no campervans and, despite being close to the village centre, no asphalt in sight.
Quite the opposite. Open your tent in the morning and Szczeliniec Wielki will be right there in front of you.

Barbarówka really is located exactly halfway along Poland’s second-longest long-distance hiking trail.
If you are hiking the Main Sudetes Trail and you are here with us, you are right at the halfway point of your journey.
Mountain rules
The campsite was created for mountain people, by mountain people. There is no reception, security or permanent staff.
This place works according to simple mountain and hiking principles.
Barbarówka was created by Barbara and Adam, a married couple of mountain guides. Just so you know — we do not live next to the campsite!
We want Barbarówka to operate all year round.
We divide the year into two periods:
Long Day Season: 20/21 March – 22/23 September
The rest of the year is the Long Night Season.
Depending on the season, the rules for using Barbarówka may change, as may the prices.
Where does the name “Barbarówka” come from?
Not hard to guess. 😉
This meadow is where Basia used to play as a child. She will gladly tell passing hikers about “Paszczak Rock”, outdoor theatre performances and other adventures.
Singing & Playing under Szczeliniec 🎻
“Śpiewogranie pod Szczelińcem” is a series of non-commercial music gatherings held at Barbarówka.
Everyone who loves music, singing, poetry and the mountain-hiking atmosphere is welcome. Bring your guitars, violins, mandolins… and come along!
Songs and pieces are performed spontaneously, informally and purely for the joy of making music together around the campfire.
